I saw courtesy of PLC’s IP&IT weekly e-mail that Playboy Enterprises International Inc. (Playboy) has succeeded in its appeal against the Nominet expert’s refusal to transfer the domain name playboyracing.co.uk to it. The appeal panel, overturning the expert’s decision found that the registration was abusive, as although Playboy was not commercially active in the field of racing activities, members of the public were likely to assume that Playboy had a connection with such activities.
Please go look at this site whilst it still belongs to Trevor Hodges. I’m sorry but only an incredibly stupid person would assume that Hugh Hefner and Co had anything to do with this site/business.
Still, a good win for Playboy.
