Are Lawyers going to become mass rss converts and users of rss readers any time soon? Not according to Dennis Kennedy – and hard to disagree. He mentions the age old problem of lawyers suffering from simultaneously both information overload and information underload (not enough of the information they want). Of course rss provides one of ways to help get this balance right.
Meanwhile Geeklawyer speaks about why English lawyers should blog. He says “It’s true a blog will not, of itself, get business since a blog, when used in this fashion, is merely a PR tool. What is true is that the blog can demonstrate two things: expertise and personality”. I could not agree more. I am still disappionted about the dirth of UK legal blogs, and my post calling for suggestions of who should blog, as I feared went down like a lead balloon. Just someone save us from the growth of drivel and bad PR masquerading at blogs as demonstarted by the totally woeful Watson, Farley & Williams LLP [sorry, I just cannot bear to link to it anymore]
