I posted a link from Legal week last week about lawfirm Watson Farley & Williams, and news that it was getting its trainees to write a weekly blog on the firm’s website. Sounded great. At the time I didn’t have time to check out the site to see if the blog was up and running, and didn’t until a couple of days ago.
Sadly, all is not what it seemed or was claimed – It’s not a blog. Nick at Binary Law has already summed up the problem and I commented on his post, as I could not do so here due to the publishing issues I was having.
It seems a shame that WFW – whose idea was at least commendable – have botched it totally and just produced corporate copy. It’s not too late, and they could of course actually turn the individual pdfs into a blog. If not, then they really should stop using the phrase ‘blog’ to promote it.
