Last week I got a nice email from a man called Arnold Villeneuve. He said he liked the blog and pointed me to one he’d just started Knowledge User .I am glad he did. I think what brought him to my site was the mention of Mindmanager in a recent post and my conversion to mind-mapping. Arnold works for a company called Cirilab who, among other things, make software that helps you turn unstructured documents into structured MindManger mind-maps. So, obviously, part of the point of his site is to plug his products.
But even in the few posts so far, you also get a sense that he also really cares about what he is talking about, and that goal we all have to decrease information overload.
He has a great post on the idea of creating a thematic knowledge map of your blog in order to help new visitors identify valuable content more quickly. This is a wonderful idea. He gives a demonstration based on his own view posts thus far. He used Ciri Instigator to create this.
I’m looking forward the following Arnold’s blog over the coming months especially when there is less direct promotion of Ciri products, which whilst ok for now, I think could get a little annoying in the long term. In the short term however I now want to try out some Ciri stuff!
